Why should you join?
To strengthen the sportsman's voice in Sacremento and Washington D.C.
To increase the awareness/importance of hunting and its conservation and economic impacts.
To be informed and updated about the many issues that are taking place relating to our great outdoors.
To share hunting experiences and information with other sportsmen.
To get involved so that you may help to protect the rights of sportsmen for future generations.
Annually, SCI Sutter Buttes Chapter members receive six issues of our chapter's award winning newsletter "Echo", six issues of the Safari Magazine, and twelve issues of the Safari Times newspaper.

Types of Memberships and Costs
There are two divisions of SCI Membership, “International” and “Chapter”. Prospective members must first hold membership in the International SCI organization before they are members of a local chapter. Membership at either level can be acquired for as short as one year or as long as you live. Listed below are the types of memberships, costs, and their corresponding entitlements.
SCI International Membership
LIFE MEMBERSHIP:
Regular Life Membership USA, Canada, Mexico $1,000(US); All other countries $1,500(US)
Senior Life Membership, 60 years and over in USA, Canada, Mexico $750(US); All other countries $1,250(US)
Benefits:
Free subscription to SCI’s bi-monthly SAFARI magazine and monthly Safari Times newspaper, SCI Record Book eligibility, and Annual Hunters’ Convention invitation (entrance fees still apply).
Ability to run for office within the SCI organization.
Gold embossed Life Member Card and printed Life Member Certificate, gold Life Member pin in a velvet satchel, gold SCI logo stickers, and gold member card.
Membership renewal from year-to-year is automated.
Ability to join as many local, national and international chapters as desired (local chapter dues may still apply, but no handling fee involved).
Ability to attend the annual SCI National Convention.
Eligibility to attend the Life Member Breakfast at the SCI National Convention (additional fee may apply).
Spousal Life Membership at a discounted $500 (no publications included)
REGULAR MEMBERSHIP:
One Year Membership in USA, Canada, Mexico $55(US); all other Countries $80(US)
Benefits:
Free subscription to SCI’s bi-monthly SAFARI magazine and monthly Safari Times newspaper, SCI Record Book eligibility, and Annual Hunters’ Convention invitation (entrance fees still apply).
Ability to run for office within the SCI organization.
National member certificate, red and white member card and logo stickers.
Ability to join local, national, and international chapters (If more than one chapter is joined, a $5.00 handling fee is applied).
Ability to attend the annual SCI National Convention.
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP:
One Year Family Membership in USA, Canada, Mexico $75(US); all other Countries, please call Member Services Department at the toll free number (888) 486-8724 for pricing.
Benefits:
Same as Regular Membership.
Includes Spouse and children at home (17 yrs. And under)
YOUTH (YOUNG HUNTER) MEMBERSHIP:
One Year Membership in USA, Canada, Mexico $15(US); all other Countries $30(US)
Benefits:
SCI First For Hunters decal, membership card, key chain, and outdoor survival field booklet.
Young Hunters can expect to receive a special publication geared specifically toward youth activities and interests.
SCI Sutter Buttes Chapter Membership
REGULAR MEMBERSHIP:
One Year Membership $25(US) Adult, $10(US) Child, $500(US) Life
Please note: Chapter members must be a National member first. Life member applicants must be a National Life member first.
Benefits:
Bi-monthly subscription for the Sutter Buttes Newsletter "Echo".
Receive information of Local & State Conservation issues and Chapter events.
Eligibility to enter into the Sutter Buttes Chapter Record Book.
Ability to run for Chapter Office.
